I feel enormously privileged to teach the beautiful artform of dance and to do so whilst making a gesture to causes that are working hard to safeguard our future, makes it all the more sweet. I hope this helps inspire the children I teach to tread carefully as they journey their way through life.
Sussex Wildlife Trust
Without a healthy home, the future for us all is of huge concern, so I believe passionately that it's imperative we give back to this planet craning under the strain of excess. I work with children, and it is their future under threat, so a charity that teaches them about the importance of wildlife and a balanced ecosystem, carries out research on the damage caused by aggressive fishing and encourages our fabulous kids to get there and enjoy the natural world, is a charity I believe in. Over the years, we have donated over £1,000 to the Sussex Wildlife Trust.
Barnes & Binns
Barnes & Binns is a local shop full of gorgeous sustainable goodies, from skincare, to refillable cleaning products. They promote a gentle, sustainable lifestyle, selling recycled, circular products. It's a wonderful asset to our community and therefore our donations assist their projects too. They've supplied hundreds of care packages for our incredible NHS nurses, full of quality, earth-conscious products, offering support and a little comfort during the most extreme of working conditions. Most recently, our donations have supported a recycling scheme, enabling the community to discard of masks, lateral flow tests, bottle tops and blister packs, knowing they will be reworked into furniture, worktops and more, as opposed to littering our precious oceans and environment, or adding to our landfill waste.
